The client asked us to create a space where women felt comfortable receiving cosmetic dentistry services. Creating a softer space also needed to be balanced with an interior that represented the high level of professionalism provided.  After uncovering the client’s unique needs our Binghamton Interior Designer dove into creating the best space plan, ceiling design, materials, finishes, and furnishings for this space.

Client Objectives

Design Challenges

  • Utilize existing exam chairs upholstered in purple vinyl
  • Represent the marketing message “advanced dental care with a soft touch”

Design Solutions

  • Violet hues were incorporated as an accent throughout to create balance and continuity with the exam chairs
  • To represent the marketing message, we created a professional high tech atmosphere that was balanced by the use of natural materials (wood and stone), warm neutral tones, luxurious fabrics, balanced lighting, and soft curves
  • Materials and finishes were specified in a range of values to create visual interest, while maintaining a cohesive and calming design with a primarily neutral color scheme 
  • Water feature in the reception/waiting area produces calming sound of a flowing stream while soothing music flows from the integrated sound system 
  • There is a sense of harmony and serenity as patients move through this healthcare environment.  The interior design allows patients to feel they are receiving “advanced dental care with a soft touch”.
